Assisted living community for adults with memory impairment. Seeking compassionate teen volunteers to help create “moments of joy” for residents. One on one activities are especially needed. Volunteers receive training on how to work with this specific population. Activities may include singing and music, reminiscing, arts and crafts, trivia games and card games. Volunteers are encouraged to bring fresh ideas.

To promote emotional support to patient families in home, community, inpatient and nursing home settings.  Volunteer opportunities for 18 year olds or older. Requirements: 25 hour training offered two times per year provided by Hospice Staff. One-year commitment requested. Physical exam and TB test required. Volunteers are requested to wait one year to volunteer after personal loss.

Homes For Orphaned Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.)

H.O.P.E. is a completely volunteer organization. We rescue dogs and cats and keep them in foster care until we can find them permanent homes. We also have a low cost spay/neuter program.
