Yaddo Garden Association

Yaddo is a retreat for artists in Saratoga Springs. Our mission is to provide artists time, space, and privacy in which to pursue creative work. Each year, Yaddo welcomes over two hundred artists from all over the world for stays from two weeks to two months, at no cost to them.
While most of the estate is reserved for the exclusive use of our guests, the public is able to enjoy the Yaddo Gardens, designed and built by Spencer Trask for his wife Katrina in 1899. Since 1992, the dedicated volunteers of the Yaddo Garden Association have maintained the gardens and restored various features and ornaments to their original condition. The public is welcome to visit between 8 a.m. and dusk, all year.
Volunteers of any age are needed to work in historic gardens. Docents are needed for tours. Training is provided.
