Beacon Pointe Memory Care Community

Assisted living community for adults with memory impairment. Seeking compassionate teen volunteers to help create “moments of joy” for residents. One on one activities are especially needed. Volunteers receive training on how to work with this specific population. Activities may include singing and music, reminiscing, arts and crafts, trivia games and card games. Caritas

Volunteers to provide respite for caregivers and emotional support, companionship and diversion for children with an ill parent living in Washington, Warren and northern Saratoga counties. Requires a few hours each month. Older adolescents must be accompanied by an adult. Training is provided.

Elder Care Links

Volunteers, ages 14 and up, are needed to work with seniors in Malta, Clifton Park and Halfmoon. One hour/week is desired for visiting, shopping, helping with small tasks or providing reassurance by telephone.
