April 2015 – The Big Event

The Big Event- where 8,000 Virginia Tech students went out to the surrounding community and completed service projects for community members.  Money from Youth2 was used for rakes, tools, shovels and t-shirts for volunteers.

July 2014-WSBR Saratoga Bridges Radio, Youth Programming

12-year-old Adam Roy wrote this grant to expand the Internet radio station run by special needs people of all ages. Adam does a 3-hour block of personally chosen music, talk segments and interviews. April-May 2013-Youth Helping Youth Meets Injury Prevention Challenge

Youth2– Youth Helping Youth collected $2,191.61 for Injury Prevention and participated in a 5K Walkathon held in Toronto on May 5, 2013. Youth2 walked with a team of doctors, nurses, researchers and community advocates of the Hospital for Sick Children. May 2013-Alopecia Areata Foundation walkathon at SPAC

This very successful event organized by 14-year-old Clara Urbahn raised over $7,500.00 for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of Alopecia Areata, an autoimmune disorder that makes one lose their body hair. The monies raised from the fundraiser went to the National Alopecia Areata research program.

June-2010-Bike and Build

Awarded to Paul Russell A nine-week cycling trip from Providence, Rhode Island to San Francisco with the non-profit Bike and Build to benefit affordable housing organizations in the United States. There are 32 riders ages 18-25 on the trip.
