Assisted living community for adults with memory impairment. Seeking compassionate teen volunteers to help create â€œmoments of joyâ€ for residents. One on one activities are especially needed. Volunteers receive training on how to work with this specific population. Activities may include singing and music, reminiscing, arts and crafts, trivia games and card games. Volunteers, ages 14 and up, are needed to work with seniors in Malta, Clifton Park and Halfmoon. One hour/week is desired for visiting, shopping, helping with small tasks or providing reassurance by telephone.

The Childrenâ€™s Committee is a non-profit organization that helps meet emergency and basic needs of underprivileged kids in Saratoga County. The largest undertaking is the Empty Stocking Project. This project provides holiday gifts and necessities to about 1,000 children each year. Volunteers can help by sponsoring a child and by granting their holiday wishes.
