Bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of homeowners in need. Youth Involvement: 14-18yr olds. Includes building, painting. Week ends mostly but also some weekdays.

The Prevention Council: Saratoga County Youth Court

High School students receive intensive training about restorative justice and the various roles of the court system. The Prevention Council: SADD Chapter Involvement/Above the Influence, Stop DWI

Students who are involved with their district high school and middle school SADD and/ or ATI chapters periodically work with Prevention Council educators who support SADD and or ATI Chapter efforts, including planning and participating in the annual SADD Safe Spring Conference held each spring at Skidmore College. We can help your school develop a SADD or ATI chapter.

Office Of Emergency Services

Opportunities for 14-21 year olds in the Firefighter Explorer program through the Boy Scouts of America in Jonesville and other locations, 877-8100. Opportunities for 16-18 year olds as Junior Firefighters or Ambulance Corps Junior Members.

Office For The Aging: Delivered Meal Program

Volunteers to deliver meals to homebound citizens in Saratoga Springs, Wilton, Ballston Spa, Round Lake, Halfmoon, and South Glens Falls from 10:30-1:00pm weekdays. You can deliver once a week, twice a week, once a month, alone or with a parent or a friend.

Saratoga County Office For The Aging

A nationwide volunteer program that links the interests of persons 55 and older to volunteer opportunities within their communities. At some of the sites in the county, youth volunteers are welcome. New York State Military Museum

Volunteers, ages 14 and older, interested in military history to be docents who will act as tour guides and interpreters of the museum’s exhibits. Docents serve 3-hour shifts two or three times per month.

National Museum Of Racing And Hall Of Fame

There are limited opportunities for student volunteers age 16 years or older. Student volunteers can assist with children’s tours, some adult tours, special events and light office work. All volunteers are expected to be on time and professional. Training is provided.

Volunteers to assist in providing care and comfort to the terminally ill at this community home for the dying in Saratoga Springs.  Initial and ongoing training will be provided. Volunteers interested in flowers and gardening are needed in the on-site garden.
