Saratoga Springs Visitor Center

Volunteers, 18 and up, needed to serve as “desk ambassadors” and work with the public, greeting people and finding out their interests, fielding questions and giving directions and planning visits; computer knowledgeable volunteers who would be able to compile and maintain an events calendar. All volunteers will be interviewed for appropriate placements.

Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation

The Preservation Foundation provides the preservation and enhancement of the architectural, cultural and landscape heritage of Saratoga Springs. Mature volunteers needed, 18 years old and older for mailings, community preservation projects and special events. Internships are offered each semester.

Saratoga Springs Jaycees

Volunteers of all ages needed for Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Make A Difference Day, community, individual, business and international projects.

Saratoga Spa State Park

Volunteers are needed to clean trails, build trails, enhance endangered species habitat, trim and plant. Ages 14 years and older are welcome.

Saratoga Shakespeare Company

Saratoga P.L.A.N. (Preserving Land And Nature)

Saratoga Plan works to preserve open spaces and special places in our area for present and future generations. Trail maintenance, construction work, flyer distribution and beautification projects are available for volunteers of all ages.

Saratoga National Historical Park/Saratoga Battlefield

Volunteer opportunities for 16-18 year olds, throughout visitor season, late spring to early fall. Prefer ongoing commitment of volunteers, at least 4 hours per week. Responsibilities include: Greeting at visitor center, historical/costume interpretation, living history, tour guide at historical home or building (Schuyler House), telling story of Revolutionary War- Battle of Saratoga, and demonstrating crafts/skills of the times.

Saratoga Mentoring Program

A Program of Catholic Charities of Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties. Saratoga Mentoring Program offers a one-to-one relationship between youth and an adult mentor. Saratoga Mentoring Program uses volunteers in a variety of ways: as mentors, to help with office tasks, art projects, group activities. Please call for more ideas.

Saratoga Film Forum

The Saratoga Film Forum shows independent movies, foreign films and documentaries. We regularly pair films with speakers and other content such as suggested reading. Saratoga County Teen Pregnancy Network: Teen View

Teens give an educated teen perspective on issues such as Safer Sex, Self-Esteem, Relationships, Communication, Drugs and Alcohol, Violence, Date Rapes, Homophobia, Discrimination, Sexual Harassment. Volunteers perform informed interactive presentations peer to peer on responsible decision-making about being a teen. Teen View frequently performs at youth conferences, school, parent-teacher organizations and churches.

Saratoga County EOC Headstart

Head Start helps low-income children up to age 5 in starting their education. Youth volunteers, 16 years old and up, provide help as aides in classroom, office assistants and assist at PACTS- Home-Based Get-Togethers. Fill out a volunteer form on saratogaeoc.org.

Saratoga Automobile Museum

Volunteering opportunities include but are not limited to floor docents, gift shop and admission attendants, mailings, selling raffle tickets, special events such as lawn events and car shows, ground maintenance, butting out and sanding cars to give away to school children and more!
